“Semantic Search in Sports Search Engine”

Co-supervised a master's student in Informatics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal. The project focused on integrating semantic search capabilities into a sports search engine, enhancing the retrieval of relevant sports information using advanced information retrieval techniques.

“Cross-Lingual Information Retrieval in Tetun”

Supervised an undergraduate student in Information Systems at the Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão (ESTG), Felgueiras, Portugal. The project involved developing cross-lingual information retrieval methods for Tetun, addressing challenges in multilingual search for Tetun.
Outcomes
- Published conference paper on cross-lingual information retrieval in Tetun for ad-hoc search (DOI: 10.1007/978-3-032-05179-0_20).
